This article formed part of the production bible for the production crew on 'Bait 3D'. Many people hadn't worked with 3D before and wanted a quick and easy guide to stereography It is designed to be an easy to read for people who are not technical.
Originally published on 3DFilmSchool.com in 2011, I have reprinted this article here as a resource for others. The article puts to rest two of the most persistent myths of 3D; That everything has to be in focus, and conversely that if it's out of focus, you can 'push' the 3D envelope.
"In making a 3D documentary about the experience, his production team have sourced a number of underwater shots from the Coral Sea Expedition that I did in 2012. On this project I worked with Ocean Planet 3D as the underwater stereographer, making sure the shots were technically correct."
